the most prestigious title?
obviously the one that'll turn heads wherever you go would be "Legendary Protector." some titles (like sunspear ranks) take 0 skill to get, while something like Tyrian Cartographer gets you noticed sometimes. so how do we rank titles from most to least respected?

As a PvEer who title hunts, Champ titles and Rank 9+ Hero titles impress me. Aaaand that's about it.

The only titles for PvE that really turn my head are the Vanquishing titles.
Most all other titles are simply purchased rather than earned, or require no actual skill to achieve.

Honestly, I think that most players couldn't care less what titles another player has. They are for your own sense of personal achievment. If you're doing it to impress people, you'll be dissapointed...

I also think that titles are mostly for your own sense of personal achievement, but many people are impressed by them anyway.
The titles that most impress me are the ones such as the Vanquishing Titles, or Skill Capping titles, or Protector titles that most often indicate that the wearer has actually done something (although even they could be "leeched".)
The silly ones, such as the Sweetooth and Drunkard titles are just for the kiddies and don't impress anyone really. Cartography titles are somewhere in between - you do have to actually do something to get them, but it takes more grind than ability.

Its a person's own opinion that makes a title "prestigious" to them.
Things that attract my attention now a-days are really high ranks in Hero, Legendary Vanquisher, and LDoA. And the occasional high ranked Gladiator.

Most people find ways to devalue titles, so even if you didnt earn them the "cheap way", only you will know the truth.
Apparently its gotten to the point that people think its possible to leech the Guardian/Protector titles, which is news to me. "Sure, it might be a rare happening, but Im sure they could do it 58 times in both NM and HM". Im happy I know that now, now whenever someone gets Legendary Guardian, Ill /report them for leeching, because they just had to have done it one of those 116 times.
You can buy Wisdom, Sweet tooth, and I guess Skill Hunter(assuming you have all the skills unlocked). If you are a Legendary Survivor, you farmed. Savior of the Kurzicks - FFF'd. All the allegiance titles are just grind, therefore worthless. Cartographer is just pixel hunting.
So that leaves you with Gladiator and Hero(which can easily be degraded for dumb reasons imo), vanquisher, and Savior of the Luxons. So if you dont want to go wrong with a PvE title, get Legendary Vanquisher. Then people will just tell you that you dont have a life.
I know I skipped a few titles, but if you can accept these opinions I put down here, you can now earn them and not be dissapointed. But most of all, please, dont worry what other people on the internets think about you. If you want to go impress someone, impress your offline friends.

None of the PvE titles impress me.
PvE: Time > skill
PvP: Skill > time
The only titles that still impress me are gladiator 8+, champ 4+, hero 12+

Champion is about the only one that really takes skill to get, not that grind titles are not worthy its just champ is the only skill based one left.

No titles impress me at all. But sometimes they make me wonder what kind of life that person has.

Max Sunspear/Lightbringer are starting to become really impressive.
The wurm farm is the most bloody mind-numbing thing I've ever done and I have no idea how I'll ever get higher then those 10k I have now!
But on a serious note - max Unlucky/Lucky is just insane!
My hat is off to anyone that has it!

Personally I'm a bit of a minor PvE title hunter.. However none really 'impress' me, I just do it for something to do. All it means to me is someone with a lot of spare time...

That would impress me, though the time spent on it would make me question the person's lifestyle.
Nah, that one has gotten rather easy to do with guildies.
LS isn't that hard if you know the game, having gotten it myself.
